On City of Water Day, Learn About the Projected “BlueLine”

Saturday marks the 15th annual City of Water Day, and, for its third year at the Seaport, the Howard Hughes Corporation and the Waterfront Alliance are raising awareness on the risks we face from rising sea levels and continued inaction with the climate-art installation Art at the BlueLine

Highlighting the threats of coastal flooding and the urgency for environmental justice, the event explores the BlueLine — the projected future high-tide line in 2100 — to underscore the need to combat climate change and champion a climate resilient New York and New Jersey harbor. The exhibit will run July 16 through the end of the month and is part of a series of virtual and live events that are being held across the city.

Also on Saturday, on the west side of Lower Manhattan at Rockefeller Park, you’ll find a family workshop that includes a nature walk and collaborative art project running from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
