City of Yes: Learn About Zoning Changes Adams Wants to Make at This Info Session

When it comes to development, Eric Adams sees New York as a “City of Yes.” The mayor wants to update zoning codes to inspire more housing, more jobs and carbon-neutral construction while overall embracing development rather than battling it.

Adams has said that his vision is to “change up the rules and allow a wider range of housing types and sizes to accommodate all kinds of households across the city,” according to The City. Your chance to find out more about what that means — and have some input into the process — is coming up. The first public information session for the City of Yes initiative will be held on October 17, and it will be available via video conference and on YouTube. This way, anyone in the city can watch.

The 90-minute session, scheduled to begin at 7 p.m., will also include a Q&A with city planners to give you a chance to learn about the city’s designs for updating its zoning regulations to be more inclusive and equitable. Find more details here
