Thank You for Coming to Dine Around Downtown!

Thanks to everybody who brought their appetites to this year’s Dine Around Downtown on June 4 — not to mention the 41 neighborhood restaurants who kept the tasty food coming all day long.

This was the 21st iteration of our famed open-air food festival (buy this baby a drink!), held at Fosun Plaza (28 Liberty St.), its home since 2014. And this year’s Dine Around had everything, with available cuisines running the gamut from Brazilian to Vietnamese to Uzbek, as well as offerings from neighborhood hotspots like Delmonico’s and Pisillo. With dishes priced at $5 to $9, you could enjoy a cornucopia of downtown delicacies for a steal.

This year’s beautiful weather brought out thousands of Lower Manhattanites — attendance is estimated at more than 12,000 guests. The event’s ongoing zero-waste commitment with partner Common Ground Compost was also a success. All of you pitched in and helped us significantly reduce our landfill waste, as the vast majority of our refuse was compostable and recyclable.

Host Rocco DiSpirito once again put his emcee skills to work, and the Kelly Green Seems Quartet provided smooth sounds to pair with those steak sandwiches, tacos, sliders of all sorts, samosas, lamb chops, gelato, sticky toffee pudding — we could go on, but now we’re getting hungry again! Last but not least, we’d like to extend special thanks to our host sponsor, Fosun.

Raise a glass to everyone who worked so hard to make this great event possible and peruse some photos below. Stay tuned for news about Lunch Box, our equally delicious fall food fair featuring newer additions to the neighborhood.
