It Has Begun: the 7th Street Burger Turf Wars

A new institution has landed in Lower Manhattan. 7th Street Burger, the no-frills fast food chainlet that’s taken the city by storm since its 2021 debut, started slinging burgers and fries at 80 Nassau St. in June. Known for its uber-simple smash burgers, low prices and late hours, 7th Street Burger became an instant success after opening its first location in the East Village. Two years and a slew of local outposts later, hungry eaters still wait in long lines outside the East 7th St. spot — but we’d wager our 7th Street Burger blows the original out of the water. Lower Manhattan supremacy forever.

Look at that tasty hunk of meat:

And those crispy fries:

A cheeseburger here runs you a mere $6.50, which is the right price for a midday food fest, and fries are an extra $4.50. Double cheeseburgers, Impossible burgers, and chopped beef fries are also on the menu. Stop by now before the secret’s out and the lines get long. You’re welcome.
