There’s A Job That Can Help Stop The Spread Of COVID-19

If you’re looking for work and have health-related professional experience, here is an opportunity: The Fund for Public Health NYC is hiring contact tracers. A contact tracer is like a detective who is on the case of an infectious disease — talking to people who have been diagnosed to figure out how the disease traveled and to whom. Through interviews and data collection, contact tracers can help minimize the impact of the COVID-19 outbreak.

During the case interview, the contact tracer uses a questionnaire to gather information about the case and the contacts. Then they educate people who could have come into contact with the disease about medical care and how to best self-isolate to prevent the spread.

The Fund for Public Health NYC facilitates partnerships between the public and private sectors to develop, test and launch initiatives that advance the health of all New Yorkers.
