Facebook’s Small-Business Grant Application Now Open To New York City

Facebook is offering $100 million in cash grants and advertising credits to assist small businesses whose revenues have been directly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The goal is to assist local owners with rent costs, stay connected to customers, cover operational costs and protect the general workforce. It is recommended you submit as soon as possible so your application is considered first. The deadline to apply is Wednesday, May 6 at 11:59p ET.

In order to apply, your business must be:

—For-profit

—Staffing between two and 50 employees

—In business for more than one calendar year

—Faced direct challenges in the ongoing coronavirus outbreak

—Operate in a city where Facebook is located (e.g. New York City)

Applicants must be prepared to provide historical data to back its application claims, a game plan for how they intend to invest the grant if chosen and pay the taxes resulting from a grant award.

To learn more, visit Facebook’s Small Business Grants Program page, be sure to review its terms and conditions (as well as its privacy policy) and submit through the application portal.

And, while the economic impacts of COVID-19 continue to unfold, the Downtown Alliance is committed to helping Lower Manhattan’s small businesses. To that end, we have compiled a list of grant, loan and assistance programs that have been created to help our neighbors.

This list is a living one: As programs evolve or launch, the Alliance will continue to update this resource.
