Head Back To The Future On The Downtown Experience

Touring Lower Manhattan while traveling back in time has never been easier.  Get ready for the city’s very first virtual reality tour!  

The Downtown Experience has partnered with Timelooper to create a 90-minute multimedia historical adventure exploring the neighborhood like never before using advanced audio/visual technology.

On the Downtown Experience, participants sit on a moving bus, made with side facing seats and floor-to-ceiling glass windows that provide panoramic views. While wearing special virtual reality headsets, riders will see 360 degree reenactments of historical key moments in Lower Manhattan’s past as if they have travelled back in time. 

Learn about the history of the first people that inhabited the city to the neighborhood’s rebirth post-September 11th. Ride through landmarks such as South Street Seaport, Brooklyn Bridge, Battery Park, New York Harbor, One World Trade & many more.
