It’s About TIME

You (and millions of others) have read their magazines. Now welcome them to the neighborhood!

Time Inc. — with more than 90 iconic brands and over 50 offices across the globe — is moving today into its new headquarters at Brookfield Place in Lower Manhattan.  The publisher of People, Sports Illustrated, Time and a host of other magazines and titles joins a growing roster of major media and creative companies that have chosen to make Lower Manhattan home.

Time is leasing 700,000 square feet on six floors at Brookfield’s 225 Liberty Street property.  The company is moving from Midtown’s Time & Life Building, where it has been located since the building first opened in 1959.

“Time Inc. joins the growing list of highly regarded media, publishing and creative companies relocating downtown to reap the benefits of operating in the area,” said Chief Executive Officer of Brookfield Office Properties and Downtown Alliance Board Chair Dennis Friedrich in a Time Inc. press release. “The neighborhood’s alluring mix of restaurants, retail, culture and transportation access is a driving factor for this downtown migration, and the waterfront setting of Brookfield Place is unrivaled in New York City.”
