Looking for Drink Deals After 6 p.m.? These Late-Night Happy Hours Can Help
Happy hour deals are the best, but not everyone can make it to the bar by 6 p.m. We’re talking about the 10 to 6-ers, busy parents, the occasionally slammed remote worker and anyone else who might have trouble making time for a discounted cocktail before sundown.
Luckily, late-night (or at least later-at-night) happy hour options are expanding in Lower Manhattan, giving you more flexible options on drink deals. Here are a few to keep on your radar — and for some other happy hour inspo around the neighborhood, check out our happy hour heat map.
Five and Dime
This bar opened in 2017 in the lobby of the Woolworth building, as a tribute to the Woolworth “five and dime” stores of old. The inside is majestically vintage, with its tiled floor, vaulted ceilings, brass detailing, horseshoe marble bar and French films on the TV, all paying tribute to the building’s old Rathskeller Bar that opened in 1913. But after-hours are where the real fun begins: from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays, you can catch happy hour deals on draft beers and simple cocktails — the same as you’ll find at the bar’s regular happy hour from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. (8 Park Pl.)
Cedar Local
Cedar Local serves up craft cocktails in a sleek and intimate spot that’s perfect for unwinding and socializing after work. And if you’re working late, you’re in luck: the bar’s Closing Bell deal will save you money after midnight, with $12 cocktails, house cocktails and beer-and-shot combos. (25 Cedar St.)
Da Claudio
The restaurant is known for its seasonal, authentic Italian cuisine and chic interior. If you can’t catch the 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. happy hour, get there for the after-dinner menu. Choose from a selection of organic wines for $12 a glass, and pair your drink with a discounted plate of Mediterranean olives or prosciutto and burrata, in addition to a few other snacks. (25 Ann St.)
Bonus: Golden Wuish
If you can get yourself out the door in time for regular happy hour, the deals at Golden Wuish — the Chinese restaurant famous for its flaming Peking duck dish — is not to be missed. From 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., you’ll find amazing deals, including wines for $8, draft beers for $6 and cocktails for just $9; plus snacks like oysters, spring rolls and dumplings for just $1.50 a pop.
