Meet a Downtown Business: Crepes du Nord

12/16/2010

Each week, the Downtown Alliance  features a local business. This week, we’ll introduce you to Crepes du Nord, a creperie and wine bar at 17 South William St.

What’s in a crepe? Nutella and banana. Ham and Swiss. Those are the classics.

But you’ll also find plenty of new twists at Crepes du Nord, a Scandinavian creperie and wine bar run by the Smorgas Chef franchise. On the menu: braised beef short ribs, Jarlsberg and seared tomatoes, as well as spiced herring, scrambled egg whites, sour cream and dill. For dessert, there’s lingonberry ricotta or brie/fresh pear/honey and spiced walnuts. And there’s a nice selection of whites and reds by the glass.

But if a classic is more your style, don’t worry—Crepes du Nord’s got your Nutella banana.
