Meet a Lower Manhattan Business: Accents New York

10/17/2012 in

Accents New York, the gift shop in the lobby of the Conrad New York Hotel, is so appealing and versatile that local residents and workers often join hotel guests in shopping there.

The merchandise gives a nod to the city, with New York collectibles, and also includes unique pieces you won’t find in your average gift shop catering to the traveler such as jewelry, baby clothes, etc.

Among the more popular pieces is a “Climbing Man” sculpture, which features a lone figure climbing up a braided rope. The piece has a dark bronze finish and is mounted on a wall. It’s also one of the few items in the store that can’t be packed in a suitcase to take back home.
