Perhaps the only thing that can make more poignant the experience of physically going to the World Trade Center site on or around the 10th anniversary of 9/11 is going with a smartphone and an app or two that help visualize how the events of that fateful day unfolded.
Visitors who are interested in attending one or more of the several events taking place in Lower Manhattan on or around the anniversary can use the Downtown Alliance’s free iOS app, called “Downtown NYC,” which has a new section specifically devoted to September 11th.
Click on the events to learn more and add events to one’s calendar and share them with others via social networks.
