Big outdoor movie nights are one New York City summer tradition that have been put on hold this year. But a few places are finding ways to make them work, even if just on a smaller scale.
Seamore’s in Brookfield Place is trying to keep the tradition alive with a dinner-and-a-movie series on its outdoor dining patio, featuring some all-time classics. The series begins Wednesday, August 26, and showtimes are at 8:30p. Reservations are encouraged, and all food orders must be submitted by 9p, though the bar will stay open until 11p.
The movies being shown will be a real treat for seafood-loving ’80s and ’90s kids: “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off,” “The Goonies,” “The Sandlot,” “E.T.” and “Back to the Future.”
