Genre-Defying Circus “Passengers” Comes to PAC NYC in June

You’ve never seen a train ride quite like this. “Passengers,” the newest production at PAC NYC, is what happens when traditional circus performances get reimagined and set in motion on the most unlikely of stages: a train car. Running from June 12 to 29, this 90-minute show will be put on by the internationally acclaimed 7 Fingers troupe. Part theater and part acrobatics, “Passengers” is definitely not your average evening commute.
Helmed by longtime artistic director and Tony Award nominee Shana Carroll, “Passengers” explores the unexpected intimacy and fleeting wonder of encounters on a train. This experienced cast of performers will attempt to bend gravity while bringing to life the track we all take, and sometimes dare to diverge from.
But don’t expect elephants and top hats; this circus has been reduced to its kinetic, cinematic core. The company’s mission to “redefine circus by stripping down the spectacle to its thrilling essence” is more than just branding — it permeates the entire performance from the moment you take your seat. The result is a deeply human spectacle that manages to dazzle, delight and defy expectations.
The performance is being billed as perfect for couples on a date night and families seeking a “thrilling adventure.” Tickets are now on sale from $37 to $107 and can be purchased through the PAC NYC website. Watch the trailer below:
