Six Fancy Valentine’s Day Dates That Are Sure to Impress

Cupid is making sure love is in the air in Lower Manhattan. That’s right: Somehow, everyone’s favorite marketing holiday is nearly here. Whether you could use a little last minute help planning a special date night downtown, or even if you set a reminder you’ve been mulling it over since last Valentine’s Day, we’re here to make sure it’s one your stomach will remember forever.

A Land-and-Sea Feast at the Fulton

Celebrate your special someone with a feast of local and organic dishes from the land and sea by Jean-Georges. The holiday special comprises your choice of a four-course menu for $168 per person, or enjoy the à la carte dinner menu. Reserve your table here. (89 South St.)

Choose Your Own Romantic Adventure at the Tin Building

Maybe you don’t know your valentine very well yet. Or maybe you do, but they don’t know themselves. In any case, we have you covered. Reserve a table at T. Brasserie, Fulton Fish Co., House of the Red Pearl, Shikku or abcV at the Tin Building by Jean-Georges for maximum flavor and multiple options in case they change their mind. (96 South St.)

A Three-Course Menu at La Marchande

For the Francophile in your life, treat them to a three-course meal at La Marchande, nestled in the luxurious Wall Street Hotel. Chef John Fraser’s modernized French chophouse features a special Valentine’s Day menu for $105 per guest and an optional $94 wine pairing. Personally, we are falling in love thinking about the caviar, (seafood) Lovers Tower, grilled branzino for two and red velvet Basque cheesecake. View the full menu and make reservations here. (88 Wall St.)

Two Enchanting Evenings at Metropolis by Marcus Samuelsson

This Valentine’s Eve (Tuesday, February 13) or Valentine’s Evening (Wednesday, February 14), enjoy dinner then a show (or vice versa) at PAC NYC and Metropolis by Marcus Samuelsson. A very special six-course tasting menu from chef Samuelsson and executive chef Ed Tinoco is $175 per person (exclusive of beverage, tax and gratuity) and promises “the bubbles and the vibes will be flowing.” Enough said! View the full tasting menu and make reservations here. (251 Fulton St.)

Valentine’s Day Omakase at Nobu

For an unforgettable dining experience, Nobu Downtown is offering a special Valentine’s Day omakase menu. For $250 per person, including a glass of champagne, this is a delicious night out that should make up for the year(s) you forgot to spoil your sweetie. Check out the bespoke menu here. (195 Broadway)

A Romantic Three-Course Dinner at Temple Court

Foodies and history buffs alike will be smitten with a Valentine’s Day dinner at Tom Colicchio’s Temple Court. Step inside the gorgeous 1883 Beekman Hotel for a romantic evening in a historic setting and enjoy a four-course meal for $175 per person. Note that a la carte dinner service will not be available in the dining room on Valentine’s Day, so be sure to review the menu beforehand. Reservations are available on Resy. (5 Beekman St.)

And one bonus…

Smyth Tribeca will host a fun and interactive evening the day after Valentine’s Day from 7 to 9 p.m., with “Cross Your Heart” featuring Jason Suran, one of the most in-demand mentalists in America. The event will explore themes of connection, romance and the human psyche in ways you never thought possible, accompanied by the soulful music of Ben Freeman. Prepare to be mind-blown. Buy tickets and find more details at the event page.
