Your Curtain Call Awaits in Lower Manhattan!
Submitted By: Fraunces Tavern® Museum
Fraunces Tavern® Museum is proud to announce a new summer drama camp for young middle school-aged students, called Pearl Street Players, which it plans to launch in the summer of 2015. Weaving together history, creative writing and drama, the program will allow students to explore the rich history of Lower Manhattan and create a theatrical piece from their experience. At the end of the three-week session, they will perform it for the public.
But you don’t have to wait until next summer. This fall, to help spread the word and give young people a taste of Pearl Street Players, the Museum is offering two free drama workshops. One is on Tuesday, September 30th at 4 p.m., and the other is on Saturday, October 4th at 10:30 a.m. Pizza and drinks will be provided. Registration is free and open to any student in the 6th, 7th, or 8th grade.
