Third Annual Lunch Box Pop-Up Food Fair Returns on October 8th to 28 Liberty’s Fosun Plaza
On Tuesday, October 8, the Alliance for Downtown New York, the nonprofit business improvement district for Lower Manhattan, will host the third annual Lunch Box: a pop-up food fair at 28 Liberty’s Fosun Plaza from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
The open-air festival, which has quickly established itself as a popular neighborhood food event drawing close to 10,000 attendees, will feature 10 local restaurants, many of which have recently opened in Lower Manhattan. Each will offer a $10 boxed lunch that includes one main dish (a protein) and two sides. Drinks are also available for an additional cost. Public admission is free and the event will be held rain or shine.
“Lunch Box is a great opportunity to support the recent additions to our flourishing dining scene while getting a great deal on some delicious food,” Downtown Alliance President Jessica Lappin said. “Grab lunch with us on the plaza and maybe even try a couple of different boxes for variety.”
“Lunch Box is a celebration of Lower Manhattan’s culinary offerings, and we are pleased to welcome the community to Fosun Plaza with another exciting event in partnership with the Alliance.” said Jason Berkeley, Fosun Hive Partner and COO of Four Trees Capital Management “It’s Fosun’s mission to bring the community together through ongoing cultural events.”
As part of the Alliance’s ongoing commitment to a sustainable Lower Manhattan, Lunch Box will be a zero-waste event. Composting and recycling stations will be located throughout the plaza.
