Free Headshots for the Unemployed at Brookfield Place, One Day Only

If you’re on the job market, get ready for your closeup. On Wednesday, July 22, the photo agency Headshot Booker is hosting a pop-up photo shoot at Brookfield Place (230 Vesey Street), where job-seekers looking to spruce up their resumes, websites and LinkedIns can sit for complimentary headshots. The only catch is that you have to be unemployed.

The headshot pop-ups are happening at Brookfield properties across the nation, but in Lower Manhattan, you’ll want to head to the studio location at Brookfield Place’s Hudson Eats balcony between 10a and 7p. Use the entrance between Seamore’s and Del Frisco’s Grille, then hop on the escalator by Sprinkles. The studio is on the second level. You can’t miss it.

If you’re on the hunt for a new job it’s likely worth the effort to do this. It gets you out of the apartment for one, but also LinkedIn profiles with photos get far more attention than profiles without them. And your page will look much more enticing with a portrait shot by a professional in a studio than, say, an extended-arm phone selfie you took on the 2 train. Make sure to dress to impress and show off those pearly whites for the camera. Knock em dead, kid.

Also, this should probably go without saying, but we’re still in the throes of a pandemic. So when you’re not in front of the camera you should definitely wear a mask and practice social distancing.
