LMHQ’s Women’s Breakfast: Steps To Civic Advocacy And Beyond

COVID may make us feel increasingly helpless, but there’s still plenty we can do to make sure our voices are heard. November’s federal elections are critical (make sure you’ve requested your absentee ballot!), but we can and should bring the same levels of civic engagement toward voting in local races, lobbying our representatives and educating the community on a consistent basis.

At LMHQ’s virtual women’s breakfast on September 15, experts discuss the concrete steps we can take to make lasting changes in government and policy. Panelists include Generation Citizen’s DeNora Getachew, NYC Campaign Finance Board’s Allie Swatek, League of Women Voters’ Bella Wang and Downtown Alliance’s Jessica Lappin.
