Learn Downtown’s Plans To Combat Climate Change At This Open House
With unprecedented winter storms battering typically mild parts of the United States, there’s no time like the present to consider the impact of climate change on Lower Manhattan. To help businesses and residents learn more about efforts to strengthen Downtown’s climate resiliency, the Economic Development Corporation is hosting an open house on February 25 to discuss the FiDi-Seaport Climate Resilience Plan.
The plan is a supplement to the city’s Lower Manhattan Coastal Resiliency project, which includes a $500 million investment in immediate climate-fighting infrastructure along the coastline as well as more long-term planning.
The open house is virtual, and runs from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. You can learn more on the project’s website, and register online.
