Seaport Cinema Brings Free Rooftop Movies Back to Pier 17

One of New York City’s best summer perks is outdoor movies in iconic locations. This summer, one of the most iconic locations makes its big return.

Seaport Cinema is once again setting up the projector at Pier 17’s The Greens on the Rooftop. Beginning June 5, catch a whole slew of free popcorn fare under the stars, backdropped by the Lower Manhattan skyline and the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges.

Seating is limited, but you can bring your own blankets and chairs to secure a space on the lawn where additional food and drink (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) can be ordered.

Keep tabs on The Seaport’s Instagram for updates to their summer movie calendar, which so far includes:

  • June 5 – Space Jam (RSVP)
  • June 13 – Maiden
  • June 27 – Walk With Me

Making reservations, released two weeks before showtimes, is encouraged to keep you updated on possible inclement weather.
