Fulton Stall’s Summer Farm Share Will Keep You Stocked Through Labor Day
Believe it or not, summer has arrived. That means that all kinds of farm-fresh produce is here for the taking. So do your household a favor and sign up for the CSA farm share at Fulton Stall Market (91 South St.). You can get your hands on strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, peaches, nectarines, plums, alfalfa, lentil, sweet pea, mung bean, chickpea, mushrooms, fresh eggs and much more to keep your fridge and cabinets stocked through mid-September.
The CSA season lasts for 13 weeks and has 15 share options. Fulton Stall explains how the whole thing works:
Choose all your desired share options of fresh local foods directly from farmers and local producers.
Weekly pickup is at Fulton Stall Market, Thursday 4–6 p.m. or Friday 11:30 a.m.–5 p.m.
Shares will be kept under refrigeration. If not picked up by Saturday at 5 p.m. they will get donated.
Bring your own shopping bag at pick-up.
Fulton Stall also has a compost program during Thursday pick-ups. Their kitchen scrap collection is partnered with EarthMatter’s compost center and farm on Governors Island, and they divert somewhere north of 100 pounds weekly from the waste stream.
