Join Jordan Issac for a look at the power of public art. Explore works by Siah Armajani, Scott Burton, and James Yaya Hough. Commissioned to create site-specific public art in Battery Park City’s plazas and pedestrian crossroads, their art welcomes people to pause, gather, reflect, and converse. With populist idealism, familiar references, and imaginative use of sculptures, mosaic, poetry, history, and design, their art transforms plazas into free museums and vibrant examples of America’s complex relationship to liberty and justice from the 1980’s to the present.
