In partnership with McNally Jackson Books—located at 4 Fulton Street, just a few doors down from the Museum entrance—Seaport Museum staff and special guests will stir up lively discussions informed by our shared love of literature, history, and preservation. Tonight’s selection: Nothing Else But Miracles by Kate Albus. Based on real locations in old New York and set in the final year of World War II, this work, geared for audiences ages 9–12, explores the engaging story of 12-year-old Dory Byrne who lives with her brothers, Fish and Pike, on New York City’s Lower East Side. This work has special ties to the Seaport Museum and shows how, when things get tough, the neighborhood can give you what you need.
