Learn How To Make Granny Erma Jean’s Fried Chicken From Blue Smoke

On Thursday, July 15, at 4 p.m., join the next installment of the Downtown Alliance’s “Dine Around Downtown: Cooking at Home Edition,” when Executive Chef Bret Lunsford of Blue Smoke shows how Battery City Park’s barbecue wonder makes its Granny Erma Jean’s Fried Chicken with Creamy Coleslaw.

The virtual tutorial is free, but Blue Smoke encourages donations to the food-security charity God’s Love We Deliver

“Dine Around Downtown: Cooking at Home Edition” is hosted by award-winning chef Rocco DiSpirito and zooms into the kitchens of Lower Manhattan, where chefs share recipes and tips on everything from complex gastronomic delights to go-to comfort foods. Register now to reserve a space for the upcoming Blue Smoke episode.

The series launched last summer with America’s first restaurant Delmonico’s, followed by a number of dining rooms including Crown Shy, Nobu and Seamore’s. All previous episodes are available on YouTube.
