Zoom In And Learn How To Make Crown Shy’s Crown Bird Dinner

The next installment in the Downtown Alliance’s “Dine Around Downtown: Cooking At Home” series comes Thursday, January 28, when Crown Shy’s Executive Chef James Kent shows participants how to make their signature Crown Bird Dinner: Kent’s acclaimed habanero- and citrus-marinated chicken with dipping sauces.

Sous Chef India Doris will join Kent and show how to make their kale caesar salad as well as her own spin on macaroni and cheese.

Hosted by award-winning chef Rocco DiSpirito, “Dine Around Downtown” zooms into the kitchens of Lower Manhattan where chefs share recipes and tips on everything from complex gastronomic delights to go-to comfort foods. It’s free to sign up and participate, and any donations go to a good cause — either directly to the restaurant’s employee-relief funds or to a food-security charity of the restaurant’s choice.

Register now to learn how to make this scrumptious Crown Shy feast.

The series launched last summer with America’s first restaurant Delmonico’s, followed by a number of dining rooms including Gnoccheria, Taïm, Temple Court and Benares. All previous episodes are available on YouTube.
