iPic Entertainment will unveil its first New York City location in the Seaport District. The luxury theater experience will open its doors on October 7th in the Fulton Market Building at 11 Fulton Street.

The theater features eight-screens and The Tuck Room, a cocktail bar that pays homage to New York’s rich cocktail history. iPic moviegoers can recline in oversized leather chairs with unlimited popcorn, pillows and blankets, while being waited on by ninja-like servers. Signature dishes are created by acclaimed chef Sherry Yard, three-time James Beard Award winner and former executive partner and chef with Wolfgang Puck’s empire for nearly 20 years. Moviegoers can also enjoy signature, farm-to-glass cocktails by renowned mixologist Adam Seger.

The new theater also includes iPic-designed proprietary seating, including “Premium Plus Seating Pods” and “Premium Chaise Lounges,” which provide a new level of intimacy and technology in luxury, movie-watching comfort. iPic also streamlines the entire guest experience through a proprietary iPic Theaters app that allows guests to purchase tickets and order food and beverages ahead of time via their smartphones.

The Seaport District, New York City’s oldest new neighborhood, is located on the East River in Lower Manhattan with unparalleled views of the Brooklyn Bridge, Statue of Liberty and the city’s iconic skyline. The area’s rich history and its storied waterfront location make the Seaport District one of New York City’s most unique settings.

While work progresses towards the grand opening of the Seaport District, The Howard Hughes Corporation is committed to creating a distinct destination for New Yorkers and visitors alike. The larger development plan for the Seaport District encompasses a total of seven buildings on several city blocks, including Pier 17® and the Fulton Market Building. The Fulton Market Building currently houses the only Smorgasburg outpost in Manhattan and will offer the ultimate cinematic experience with iPic Theaters. On the culinary front, a range of dining choices by the most notable restaurateurs have been announced to open in the Seaport District including partnerships with acclaimed chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten, Momofuku Group, led by Chef David Chang, and by CHLOE. Milan based concept store 10 CORSO COMO, also chose the Seaport as its first location in North America. Other tenants include McNally Jackson Books and Amsterdam Couture retailer Scotch & Soda.

As a glimpse into what is yet to come, there have been a number of installations and activations including the Seaport Culture District, which encompasses the Design Market, and the only Smorgasburg outpost in Manhattan that have captivated New Yorkers to rediscover the city’s original commercial hub and birthplace of innovation and culture.

An essential part of New York for over 300 years, iPic Theaters and the re-envisioned Seaport District will continue to function as a much-needed community anchor for the rapidly growing population of Lower Manhattan.
