The Vendy Awards “Rookie of the Year” in 2013 and “People’s Choice” in 2014 is bringing their tasty empanadas downtown.

You can now find famous street vendor Nuchas Empanadas in Mannahatta Park (aka Wall Street Park) at the corner of Wall Street and Front Street.  The diverse menu includes classic empanadas, like the Argentine, to exciting flavors, such as short rib and buffalo chicken.

Is it ever too early for empanadas? Never! Especially if you can get a turkey bacon breakfast empanada.  Nuchas even has a selection of vegetarian and vegan options.  What goes great after a heart-savory empanada lunch? One of their sweet empanada desserts filled with apples, cranberries and Nutella.

One reason for Nuchas’ success? Founder Ariel Barbouth — who has a BS in Manufacturing Engineering and a Masters in Business Administration from Boston University — puts a brain behind these tasty bites.
