“MoonGARDEN” Returns to Lower Manhattan, This Time at the Seaport

“MoonGARDEN” Returns to Lower Manhattan, This Time at the Seaport

If you missed “moonGARDEN,” the glowy public art installation the Downtown Alliance sponsored at 85 Broad St. in 2022, it’s back for another round. Through February 2025, you can catch the neon oversized, multicolored orbs at the Seaport.

This “moonGARDEN” iteration invites viewers to walk among the orbs, which are etched with intricate shadow art, while reflecting on belonging and inclusivity. The orbs themselves are inspired by set theory — a branch of mathematical logic that essentially focuses on the collection of objects —  and run from Fulton Street to Seaport Square.
