Mayor Michael Bloomberg calls the way New York recovered from the terrorist attacks nearly 10 years ago the comeback story that’s the envy of cities nationwide.
Last month, the Downtown Alliance said Lower Manhattan is “thriving as never before.” The group said the area is one of the fastest-growing residential neighborhoods in New York City, adding the population has more than doubled to 56,000 over the last ten years.
