It’s Poetry Month, and the Poets House Showcase Is the Perfect Way to Mark It

April is National Poetry Month, a 30-day long ode (heh) to written verse. It’s apt, then, that the newly reopened Poets House kicks off its annual poetry showcase on April 6, giving poetry lovers the opportunity to read works published during the pandemic.
Running through May 31, the Poets House Showcase is an admission-free exhibit featuring thousands of poetry books. This year, the showcase will focus on poetry published from 2020 to 2021, giving poets who put out work during the pandemic an opportunity to have their poems on display.
Typically an annual event, this year’s showcase is Poets House’s first since its lengthy closure during the pandemic; the exhibition will be on view during regular library hours, with readings and special events sprinkled throughout. For more information, visit their website.
