Salon DeLouie Is Still Here for Your Pre-Holiday Hair Styling

Salon DeLouie has been operating in the neighborhood for seven years, offering up cuts and colors to the busy workers of Lower Manhattan through good times and bad. Now the salon, like everyone, is struggling to keep up business as the pandemic wears on, but it is holding on and making the best of the situation as it fights through the unknown future. 

The salon at 59 Nassau Street has been dealing with the emptier streets in the neighborhood as office workers, foot traffic and tourists have dried up. But they want the neighborhood to know they’re still open and welcoming new clients if you want to get your ’do fixed before your next Zoom meeting or virtual Thanksgiving meal. “People aren’t here, the offices are closed,” explained Salon DeLouie’s esteemed owner Jacob. “There’s a lot of empty space around.” 

For now, the salon is sticking to its most popular classics like coloring, highlights and cuts for all genders. You might also recall Jacobi Barbershop on Maiden Lane, formerly operated by the same outfit, which has now merged with Salon DeLouie, so men in need of more standard barbershop services can stop by the salon for cuts, too.

The salon is a welcoming and well-lit space on a normally bustling stretch of Nassau Street and it’s open from 9a to 7p Monday to Friday, 10a to 7p on Saturday and 10a to 5p on Sunday.
