Make an Austrian Feast With Schilling Chef Eduard Frauneder and Host Rocco DiSpirito on New Episode of DAD: Cooking at Home
It’s that time again! Now is your chance to register for an early look at the upcoming episode of Dine Around Downtown: Cooking at Home, this time with Schilling Restaurant & Bar chef Eduard (Edi) Frauneder and series host Rocco DiSpirito. They’ll teach us how to make Chef Edi’s signature wiener schnitzel with potato salad and cucumber salad, and airy bohemian pancakes.
An Austrian-born, New York–based chef and “Iron Chef” winner, Frauneder is one of the youngest people ever to receive a Michelin star. He’s known for his popular New York City dining hotspots Seäsonal, Edi & the Wolf, Bar Freud and Schilling as well as the Third Man.
As a reminder, we’ve changed our Cooking at Home format for 2024. Instead of streaming live, this episode will drop on YouTube on August 8 — all registrants will receive a dedicated link for an exclusive two-week viewing period before public release and are eligible to win a dinner for two at Schilling, (One winning registrant will be selected at random by the Downtown Alliance and notified via their registration email address. Your chance of winning depends on the number of pre-registrants and no prize substitutions are allowed.) Registrants will also receive a copy of the featured recipe.
This program is free, though we encourage you to support Chef Edi’s chosen charity, City Harvest, NYC’s first and largest food rescue organization. Register here; sign up for our Cooking at Home mailing list here; and be sure to check out past episodes on our website.
