What’s the fastest way to get from the South Street Seaport to the Charging Bull sculpture?

When I plugged the route into Google Maps, the answer popped up immediately: the free Downtown Connection® bus service could get me there in 10 minutes!

With  a growing list of destinations and amenities in Lower Manhattan, finding the quickest route between Points A and B — and C and D and E — is essential. Now, the Downtown Alliance’s free bus service has been added to Google Maps and can help you do just that, whether you’re running errands, trying to get to work or school, or just need to get around.  You can check routes by departure time, and Google Maps will list  the best route for you based on trip time. You can also choose routes that minimize walking or transfers.

The Downtown Connection® links the South Street Seaport with Battery Park City. Buses make 37 stops at important destinations from river to river. They run 7 days a week from 10 A.M. to 7:30 P.M. at intervals of every 10 minutes on weekdays and every 15 minutes on weekends. Real-time bus info can also be found here  or one of the ten countdown signs placed along our route.
