Cheer on Team USA in the 2024 Olympics at These Downtown Spots

Okay, so you didn’t quite make it as an Olympic gymnast, swimmer or breakdancer, despite your childhood dreams. But just because you can’t vie for a medal yourself doesn’t mean you can’t cheer on Team USA at one of Lower Manhattan’s many bars, restaurants and even a plaza where the games will be screened when the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris kick off on July 26. Enjoy tacos, wings, pizza, beer and/or cocktails while watching the best athletes in the world compete for the gold medal. You might even be able to get the bar chanting U! S! A!, which is an accomplishment in itself.

Here’s a roundup of the Lower Manhattan establishments that will be showing the Olympics (or at least will turn it on for you if you ask). Double-check the Olympic games schedule before you go to be sure you’re not turning up for an event that happened at 4 a.m.

Carragher’s (17 John St.)

This soccer-oriented bar is the spot for Liverpool FC fans, but they’ll also be showing the Olympics — at least, when there isn’t a Liverpool game on.

Ryan Maguire’s (28 Cliff St.)

This woman-owned sports bar has a wide range of drinks and comfort food on the menu. They’ll probably be showing the Olympics, but if not, you can ask the staff to change the channel.

Brickyard (23 Park Pl.)

This spacious sports bar confirmed they’ll be screening the Olympics. FYI, it was ranked the best sports bar to find a single guy by New York Locals on Instagram, so get your Olympics-themed pickup lines ready.

Wogies (44 Trinity Pl.)

This Philly-born bar is the perfect spot to chow down on cheesesteaks and wings while you watch your Olympic event of choice. Wogies will likely be screening the Olympics, but they have a “majority rules” policy, so you may have to rally your fellow patrons to get the channel changed.

Monk McGinn’s (57 Murray St.)

This elevated Tribeca sports bar will be screening the Olympics. They have a great brunch menu, so you’ll want to grab a table here for the weekend events.

Clinton Hall (90 Washington St.)

This sports bar has the best burger in NYC. Seriously, it won the Food Network’s Food & Wine Festival at Burger Bash. They don’t have scheduled Olympics screenings, but you can ask for it to be shown on the TV closest to you — they have 12 TVs in total, indoors and outdoors.

White Horse Tavern (25 Bridge St.)

This laid-back Irish pub is the perfect place to enjoy a beer while you watch the Olympics. No beer on the menu is more than $7, so it’s an affordable spot to enjoy yourself.

Ulysses’ (58 Stone St.)

This cozy spot has a wide range of ales, whiskeys and beers. They don’t have a set screening schedule, but they’re happy to accommodate patrons who want to watch the Olympics.

Mad Dog & Beans (83 Pearl St.)

Not in the mood for pub fare? Head to Mad Dog & Beans, where you can get tacos and margaritas while you watch the Olympic games, which they are planning to screen.

Adrienne’s Pizzabar (54 Stone St.)

This upscale bar specializes in thin-crust pizza. Grab your friends to split a pie and enjoy some cocktails or wine during the games. They have no set plans to screen the Olympics, but they’re happy to put it on if you ask.

The Full Shilling (160 Pearl St.)

This Old World-inspired establishment has a 101-year-old bar shipped directly from a pub in Belfast. They will put the Olympics on TV if customers ask, but have no set plans to screen the Olympics.

Stout NYC (90 John St.)

This friendly pub has a bottomless brunch option if you’re looking to catch some morning games, as well as delicious burgers, pizza, and other snacks available in the evenings.

Jeremy’s Ale House (228 Front St.)

This iconic dive bar in the Seaport will have the Olympics on their TV. Grab a quart container of beer and settle in.

Broadstone (88 Broad St.)

This modern gastro-pub has an extensive brunch and evening menu, with plenty of craft cocktails and a wide variety of beers. They’ll be showing the Olympics on their 10 70-inch TVs throughout the space.

Mudville 9 (126 Chambers St.)

This Tribeca bar and restaurant has plenty of beer, wine, cocktails and delicious food to keep the party going. They open at 11:30 a.m. seven days a week and will be showing the Olympics.

28 Liberty Plaza

Not in the mood to have a drink? Or can’t do so while you’re on the clock? You can catch the Olympic games at the plaza at 28 Liberty. Tell your boss you’re going for coffee and pull up a chair for a few minutes.
