Downtown Alliance Statement on MTA Service Cuts

Ninety percent of the people who work in Lower Manhattan take public transportation or walk to work. The elimination of M train service in Lower Manhattan and southern Brooklyn not only lessens the number of trains stopping in our district, but unfortunately will disrupt many New Yorkers heading to Lower Manhattan. Our hope is that the MTA does not further cut service to an area that is so heavily reliant on the subway.
