This Instagram Account Has All the Info You Need About Lower Manhattan Happy Hours

Cheer up, it’s almost happy hour! If you’re looking to blow off steam with coworkers or entertaining visitors and need to bridge the gap between their Statue of Liberty tour and dinner reservation, there are plenty of happy hours worth checking out below Chambers Street.

The Instagram account fidi_happy_hours shares information about local deals for cocktails and brunches, helpfully compiled into spreadsheets on their linked website with information about hours and prices. Think of it like a one-stop shop for when you’re in dire need of cheap drinks and don’t have time to look through tons of Google reviews. Here are five Lower Manhattan happy hours that we’ll be hitting up this season.

Highkey Rainforest Rooftop

One of the few rooftop bars in the neighborhood, Highkey Rainforest Rooftop features plenty of lush faux greenery and neon signs that make it an Instagram-friendly spot. Deals include $6 for a beer, wine or shot, and $10 for a cocktail. It also hosts a generous happy hour window, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. (6 Platt St.)

Fraunces Tavern

This historic bar is where you should take your parents out for a drink when they visit. Happy hour at Fraunces Tavern — which just happens to be NYC’s oldest bar —  is every weekday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Enjoy a $2 discount on porterhouse drafts, red and white wines and select cocktails. Pair it with a plate of oysters, which are only $1.50. (54 Pearl St.)

Cowgirl SeaHorse

Between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. you can enjoy $8 frozen margaritas or $6 wine and beer at this eclectic Tex-Mex spot. The daily specials are also worth noting. Customers on Mondays can sip $5 Pacifico pints while listening to live music, or stop by on Tuesday for all-day $8 frozen margs and $6 Pacifico beer. On Wednesday, the bar hosts trivia at 8 p.m. and pours Coney Island Mermaid pints for $6. Thursday should be your date night, since wines are only $20 a bottle. (259 Front St.)

Havana Social

This bright Cuban spot on Stone Street is sure to cheer you up after a long, dreary day. Happy hour at Havana Social happens every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. If you’re here with friends, grab a bucket of five beers for $35. Or you can opt for the $8 frozen drinks or $8 wells. You might want to stick around for dinner after your drinks to try their ropa vieja de Havana or paella marinera. (45 Stone St.)

Wogie’s

If you just want a drink in an unpretentious downtown bar, head to Wogie’s. The easygoing pub offers happy hour deals — a $2 discount on well drinks and wine and a $1 discount on beers — every weekday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. And if you should find yourself needing something to help soak up the alcohol, grab one of their Philly cheesesteaks or a plate of wings. (44 Trinity Pl.)
