Host Rocco DiSpirito and SAGA’s Emily Hall Will Showcase Holiday Desserts on New Episode of Cooking at Home

Want to wow your holiday guests or hosts with Michelin-worthy sweet treats? Register now for an early look at the upcoming episode of Dine Around Downtown: Cooking at Home, which will feature SAGA executive pastry chef Emily Hall and series host Rocco DiSpirito. They’ll teach us how to make two of her signature holiday desserts: a sweet potato custard tart and a quince cruller.

After honing her craft in the highly regarded pastry kitchens of Mento in Boston and Eleven Madison Park, Hall helmed pastry kitchens at Gunter Seeger Restaurant and Musket Room. Now, she oversees the pastry kitchen at SAGA, one of Lower Manhattan’s culinary crown jewels and a two Michelin-star winner.

As a reminder, we’ve changed our Cooking at Home format for 2024. Instead of streaming live, this episode will drop on YouTube on December 5 — all registrants will receive a dedicated link for an exclusive two-week viewing period before public release. Registrants will also receive a copy of the featured recipe. Additionally, all registrants are eligible to win a dinner for two at SAGA. One winning registrant will be selected at random by the Downtown Alliance and notified via their registration email address. Your chance of winning depends on the number of pre-registrants and no prize substitutions are allowed.

This program is free. Register here; sign up for our Cooking at Home mailing list here; and be sure to check out past episodes, all hosted by Rocco, on our website
