Help to grow milk­weed, a native peren­ni­al, from seed along­side the team respon­si­ble for stew­ard­ing the Island’s land­scapes. Lend a hand while learn­ing about native plant prop­a­ga­tion and eco­log­i­cal gardening. This project involves fill­ing quart pots with pot­ting medi­um, plac­ing milk­weed seeds into pots, and stag­ing plant trays for win­ter strat­i­fi­ca­tion. No gar­den­ing expe­ri­ence is nec­es­sary; instruc­tion, gloves, and tools will be pro­vid­ed. Please dress for the weath­er, as Month­ly Ser­vice Days are held entire­ly out­doors.
