Recommendation: Funny Face Bakery’s Gooey Chocolate Chip Cookie

On a quiet afternoon, in a reasonably low-key patch of the Seaport, a soft and chewy cookie from Funny Face Bakery has the perfect antidote to that afternoon slump. 

Founder Sarah Silverman’s new storefront at 6 Fulton Street has a number of sweet and potent concoctions just begging one to break away from whatever you’re doing — wrapping up your third Zoom call of the day or as a treat-yourself after a grueling hour of outdoor exercise. The bakery features an impressive display case featuring the many clever designs the Funny Face Bakery team offers for individual orders or catering requests.

We got a kick out of the NYC-themed cookies — see below — and some familiar faces scattered around the store. Out of all the delicious dessert selections, you can’t go wrong with a classic chocolate chip, which is usually still warm from the oven.

It’s certainly a snack worth pairing with iced coffee or sharing with an office buddy who needs a smile and a sweet treat. Their hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.
