The Latest Lower Manhattan Restaurants To Offer Outdoor Dining
This week, while our organization launched two new programs to increase the profits for Lower Manhattan restaurants’ takeout and delivery services and help small businesses transition from closed to open, more and more places continue to set up safe and COVID-compliant outdoor dining spaces for you to sit down and enjoy a delicious meal.
The latest outdoor openings include:
—Sauce & Barrel (97 Washington Street): Fact: You can never have enough pizza, so we’re thrilled one of Downtown’s local haunts is back offering their pies for sit-down service (as well as takeout and delivery)
—Scoops on Cedar (26 Cedar Street — across from Cedar Local): A new ice cream sweet spot is opening this month, and the timing could not be better. Grab a couple scoops and walk around the neighborhood while it largely remains in a tourist-free state.
—Cobble & Co (19 Fulton Street, photo above): The Seaport District’s always-reliable spot is back open for dinner Wednesday through Sunday, and has expanded patio space to serve all your summer and comfort-food faves.
—The Greens (The Rooftop at Pier 17): A lovely way to have a socially-distanced meetup with trusted family and friends, enjoy light bites and a proper view of the riverside waterfront.
For other types of cuisine that are still being served in the neighborhood, we’ve compiled (and are constantly updating) this list of Lower Manhattan restaurants so that you won’t have to scramble to keep up with what’s currently available.
If we have left anything out please reach out via Twitter or email.
