Now Is A Great Time For New Yorkers To Visit The Statue Of Liberty
As New Yorkers, there are so many things that we mean to do and visit, but never get around to doing. The Statue of Liberty is one of those things. Locals brag that they’ve never been, but Lady Liberty is not best left to the tourists. It is a key piece of New York and U.S. history, and it’s a breathtaking visit for all of us.
Last week, our Explorer In Chief Josh Katz, took a trip out to the Statue of Liberty and brought along his friend Joe Thomas. Joe is a travel and architecture photographer based in the city, and his work often captures details that offer new perspectives on iconic locations. Seeing Downtown sights through Joe’s eyes reveals just how special Lower Manhattan is, from the Statue of Liberty, Stone Street and the 9/11 Memorial & Museum to our vibrant hotels and restaurants.
After their trip out to The Statue of Liberty, the museum and Ellis Island, the two spent the rest of the afternoon catching moments throughout Lower Manhattan, at The Beekman, the Four Seasons, Stone Street and the 9/11 Memorial and Museum.
