Downtown Walking Tour Explores Lower Manhattan’s Many Architectural Wonders

From gleaming skyscrapers to Gothic Revival churches to Revolutionary-era structures, Lower Manhattan boasts a magnificent collection of architecture. You can dive into all that downtown’s buildings have to offer on Build Tours’s weekly downtown walking tour, which covers the  contrasts of old and new structures that speak to New York’s colonial past as well as showcase some of its boldest contemporary developments.

Lead by Build Tours CEO and founder Ivan R. Shumkov, the two-hour New York Financial District and the World Trade Center Architecture, Art and City Tour takes you to Battery Park City, Wall Street, Fraunces Tavern, Stone Street, Trinity Church, the World Trade Center and the 9/11 Memorial, among other sites. The tour is perfect for architecture enthusiasts and history lovers, as well as visitors and New York locals interested in learning more about the city’s architectural and cultural legacy.

The tour takes place every Saturday at 10 a.m., and includes about 30 minutes of walking. Tickets run $39 to $49, and can be purchased here
