Whip Up a Dish With Metropolis’s Marcus Samuelsson on New Episode of Dine Around Downtown: Cooking at Home Edition
Dine Around Downtown: Cooking at Home Edition returns next week, with a whole new look and style. Instead of live cooking demos, celebrity chef and cookbook author Rocco DiSpirito will join our guest chefs in their restaurant kitchens to interact directly in a pre-taped video — and his first guest is none other than Marcus Samuelsson of Metropolis fame.
The renowned, award-winning chef behind many restaurants worldwide, including Red Rooster in Harlem and the new Metropolis at PAC NYC, will teach us how to make Arctic char with cucumber fennel salad and soy butter. The episode will drop on YouTube on March 20 — all registrants will receive a dedicated link for an exclusive two-week viewing period before public release, and are eligible to win a dinner for two at Metropolis by Marcus Samuelsson, as well as a signed cookbook from Chef Marcus and Chef Rocco. (One winning registrant will be selected at random by the Downtown Alliance and notified via their registration email address. Your chance of winning depends on the number of pre-registrants and no prize substitutions are allowed.)
The episode is free to view, though we encourage viewers to support Chef Marcus’s chosen charity, Careers Through Culinary Arts Program, a workforce development nonprofit he co-chairs that provides underserved teens a pathway to success. Register here; and be sure to check out past live episodes on our website.
