Head over to Battery Park and cast your vote for your favorite chair.

NYC Parks, the National Park Service and the Battery Conservancy have announced the five final prototypes of the Battery Chair Competition.  For the first time ever, a design competition was held via an open call for designs from students and professionals across the Americas.  As part of this international competition, New Yorkers will be given the opportunity to have a say in the final selection of an outdoor, mobile chair that will eventually be used in the three-acre Battery Oval Lawn currently under construction.

So go ahead and have a seat! Try out the chairs while they’re on display at Castle Clinton National Monument in Battery Park before September 30th.  And don’t forget to cast your vote for comfort and style.
